The Children’s National Medical Center is seeking a Director of Pediatric Body MR to lead the clinical and academic growth of the Body MR program. Major clinical priorities include optimization and standardization of protocols and workflow, development of new clinical applications, and continuing education of the faculty, trainees, and staff. Major research priorities and opportunities include advanced sequence development and optimization, coil development, quantitative MR and post-processing, small animal and molecular imaging, and MR guided interventions. The position will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants should have completed a fellowship in pediatric radiology; additional training or expertise in Body MR imaging is desirable.
Children’s National Medical Center is a 303 bed facility that performs nearly 15,000 surgeries and offers more than 370,000 outpatient visits in 45 specialties each. State of the art clinical MRI facilities include two 3T GE magnets, two 1.5T (one wide bore) GE magnets, one 1.5T Philips intraoperative magnet with HIFU, and a new 1.5T Siemens interventional MR suite on schedule to open at the end of April 2013. Dedicated research facilities include a Quantitative MR research lab sited within the clinical MR space, and a Bioengineering laboratory with expertise in post processing, image fusion, navigation, simulation, robotics, and molecular imaging/nano-theranostics.

Education, training, experience:
